Overview

Basic Function - Count credit card slips, cash, and fill out appropriate paperwork when ringing off cashiers.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Position is required to report for duty at the scheduled date and time.
  • Responsible for counting “bank” of revenue immediately upon receipt and verifying amounts. via entry into the correct paperwork.
  • Collects revenue and/or validations and maintains the security of that revenue.
  • Answer phone in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Be familiar with and follow established company policies and procedures.
  • Balance credit card receipts.
  • Maintains cleanliness of your work area and pick up trash in the surrounding area.
  • Make sure all supplies are kept in stock.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to calculate credit card receipts and count cash. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour

Education - High school graduate or equivalent education required.  6 months customer service experience required. 

 

Desired Experience - 6 months customer service experience required.  Some bookkeeping or accounting experience and computer experience desirable. 6 months public parking experience desirable.

 

Language Ability - Ability to read, write and interpret the English language.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

 

Communications - Ability to utilize radio for essential communication and response.

 

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to make change. Ability to record mathematical entries in forms correctly, accurately and in a timely manner.

 

Adaptability – Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events, with a positive attitude.

 

Judgment – Weighs challenges and opportunities and understands the need to escalate matters to supervisors when appropriate.

 

Professionalism - Works well with customers and coworkers as a team player, maintaining excellent customer service even in times of challenge and difficulty.

 

Appearance - Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers and to communicate with customers and fellow employees.  The employee is required to sit for long periods of time and reach with hands and arms; stand; walk.  The employee is also required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.  In addition, the employee is required to twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a continual basis.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to communicate loudly and clearly to all customers to impart information. Ability to ascend and descend stairs as needed.
