Responsibilities

  • Develop enforcement requirements, monitoring components, staffing and scheduling
  • Direct and evaluate customer service delivery for all parking enforcement personnel.
  • Oversee software and hardware for mobile enforcement devices
  • Develop enforcement managers and supervisors for promotions
  • Ensure University’s Parking Services policies and procedures are followed
  • Develop a parking enforcement educational component for our staff and our customers
  • Assist in the development of marketing tools to support in the education of our customers
  • Oversee traffic direction for special events and other University functions that Parking Services assists with
  • Provide direction and respond to customer questions and concerns
  • Oversee Amenities Program and assist customers with battery jump starts and refer customers to service and repair providers for other vehicle requirements when requested
  • Serve as an expert of our campuses by obtaining a thorough and complete knowledge of all areas of the campuses, surrounding streets and landmarks in the areas and all University Transportation services
  • Develop an orientation, training and certification program based on this information.
  • Oversee production, and placement, of temporary signs and traffic related equipment.  Develop a system for your team to report missing signs and damage to structures and equipment
  • Oversee empty space count program for surface parking lots
  • Report and assist in resolving accidents and safety hazards
  • Ensure team members have a neat, clean appearance and are in complete, approved uniform at all times
  • Monitor facility maintenance for cleanliness standards and make recommendations to improve the aesthetics of the facility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience to lead, manage and motivate team members
  • Strong customer service skills and focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task or work independently
  • Ability to react and problem solve quickly
  • Ability to understand and communicate company policies and procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Documents or Spreadsheets
  • Ability to learn internal computer programs
  • Prior experience developing budgets and P&L review a plus
  • Parking management experience preferred but not required
  • License Requirement:  Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
