Overview

We are looking for a communications professional with a desire to work with our Director, Corporate Communications to assist in the promotion of the business results of the Company. Collaborating with key stakeholders, the successful candidate will play an integral role in communicating our culture as well as the image and reputation of company. The role will include supporting the development and distribution of both internal and external communications. The position will report to the Director, Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities

 

What you'll do

  • Support the role out of communication programs for a variety of initiatives to engage and inform colleagues, drive behavior, and positively impact business results.
  • Work with the Director of Corporate Communications to help influence communication style and effectiveness, while successfully implementing strategies accordingly.
  • Lead content development for key internal functional areas. Content includes change management initiatives, intranet articles, company intranet management, and organizational announcements.
  • Create clear, consistent internal communications content across a variety of channels including video, print, e-newsletters, company intranet, town hall meetings, and annual conferences.
  • Ensure the development and execution of communications is consistent and aligned with SP+ standards, while considering all audiences and addressing the unique needs of the business.
  • Support change management and employee engagement initiatives across the organization.
  • Measure effectiveness of communications programs to improve future efforts.
  • Establish, maintain, and serve as the keeper of communications processes, standards, and best practices, for all audiences.
  • Assist in the planning and executing of the Annual and Town Hall meetings.
  • This role can be hybrid/remote, with scheduled day(s) on-site in the downtown Chicago office.

 

Qualifications

 

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • Minimum of two to four years of relevant experience in a corporate communications environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex communication strategies.
  • Ability and willingness to perform both strategic and tactical elements of the role.
  • Exceptional, articulate communicator with superior journalistic and business writing and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with ability to translate business strategy into clear and compelling communications.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to execute programs on a timely basis.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Possesses the ability to be flexible, adaptable to change, and manage aggressive deadlines.
  • Open-minded problem-solver with the ability to produce results within a changing and/or ambiguous environment; adaptive and willing to take-on a variety of new assignments.
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, Google.
  • Familiar with Nasdaq Globe Newswire and media databases.
