Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

 

Basic Function – Collect parking revenue from parking meters and pay stations from assigned collection routes, report any meter malfunctions, and any other safety related items.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Collect parking revenue from all assigned parking meters and pay stations utilizing specialized keys and canisters to properly secure and deposit the monies retrieved
  • Report any and all meter malfunctions through the provided reporting device during the collection process
  • Use and comprehend assigned collection route maps to efficiently collect all parking revenue from the parking meters and pay stations
  • Securely load and unload specialized canister vaults used during the revenue collection process
  • Work outside to perform duties, regardless of weather conditions (e.g. rainy, hot, humid, snowy, etc.)

 

Qualifications

 

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
  • Knowledge of geography of the area where revenue will be collected
  • Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to use a hand-held android based reporting device
  • Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be safety conscious at all times, as employees will be expected to work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations

 

Availability to Work:  Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs.  If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, holidays and/or week-ends may be required.

 

License Requirement:  The individual will be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and listen. The employee is required to work outside in varying and harsh weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, humid).
