Responsibilities

 

  • Develop server-side web application logic and ensure successful integration.
  • Write web services and APIs that would be consumed by front-end developers and mobile application developers. 
  • Manage the interchange of data between the server and the users. 
  • Develop all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
  • Support the integration of  front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience in web backend development.
  • Expertise in the following technologies: Nodejs, express js
  • Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience understanding, creating, manipulating, querying, and modeling data - using at least 1 RDBMS and 1 NoSQL data store
  • Experience in building a data engineering platform for ingesting, analyzing and reporting high-volume data.
  • Experience in building applications for IoT and running highly available APIs. 
  • Experience building microservices in a large scale production system
  • Good experience in Cloud Service providers, especially AWS.
  • In-depth understanding of API centric design, relational & NoSQL databases, and developer tools.
  • Preferable Experience in US/International payment systems such as Heartland Payment systems , Paypal, Stripe, Square, Google Pay, Apple Pay
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • DevOps or TechOps experience --- especially with AWS is a plus
  • Experience with one of the following automated testing frameworks: Jenkins, Mocha a plus
  • Experience working on a large scale production system
  • Experience building microservices in a large scale production system
  • Good problem solving skills. 
  • Good unit testing capabilities to ensure high quality s/w is delivered.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies
