Responsibilities

Role: Shuttle Driver

Pay rate: $22/hr

 

Basic Function

Responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and the professional transportation of passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain the cleanliness of bus interiors, and handle fueling as needed.

  • Operations: Log trip counts accurately and assist passengers with luggage or other travel items (especially in airport locations).

  • Customer Service: Courteously assist customers with questions and provide directions. Escalate complex issues to the Facility Manager when necessary.

  • Safety & Reporting: Immediately report any accidents, safety hazards, oil spills, debris, or violations of company policy to the garage office or manager.

  • Accessibility: Provide necessary assistance to disabled passengers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education/Experience: Less than High School education; or one month of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • License Requirement: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable DMV record.

  • Availability: Shift requirements vary depending on location needs. Availability to work 3rd shift (overnight) and/or weekends may be required.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and colleagues.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using American currency.

  • Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash or equipment.

  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
