Responsibilities

The Manager, Venue Operations oversees and supports assigned large venues to ensure client retention and growth through the implementation of best practices, service delivery, and operational efficiencies while maintaining and improving financial performance.  Periodic site reviews, master planning, and new operational launch support will be expected as needed throughout the year on both existing assigned venues and new venues secured.  The right candidate will be trained in our very process-driven approach resulting in industry-leading performance across the nation.

 

Our ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience with the potential to manage his or her own US-based venue.

 

**Please note that the estimated travel requirements for this position will be 50%-60%.

 

  • Identify all existing and potential issues with assigned venues and make recommendations for improved performance proactively
  • Implement best practices, where applicable
  • Ensure operational procedure compliance at assigned venues
  • Evaluate and understand the client’s requirements with respect to the operation and ensure the client’s needs are met or exceeded
  • Support and maximize profit margins at assigned venues through layering of additional services (e.g. online parking sales, Maintenance services, etc.)
  • Assist in creating venue master plans related to parking, traffic and pedestrian control when applicable
  • Assist in new location/venue operational launches when applicable

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skill Set:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in operations at a large venue
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Must be self-driven
  • Ability to lead and/or support in an operational environment
  • Ability to train/coach others
  • Ability to apply prior experience and training in making decisions under pressure
  • Ability to present verbally to clients
  • Ability to create and manage budgets
  • Technology: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Maps)
  • License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record

 

Desirable Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of parking operations (Event Parking, Cashiering, Flagging, Traffic Control, Pedestrian Control, Shuttle Transportation)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Knowledge of hiring process in a high-volume candidate environment
  • Technology: Google Earth, CorelDraw (or similar), Video Editing Skills, Social Media for Marketing purposes

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 50-75%
